hi, Monday.

It's Monday. And while that happens to be my day off, for most of you it's probably a day where you have to wake up, put real clothes on, and be an all-around adult. And I encourage you to do so...but toss some whimsy in there. Wear ridiculous, heart-shaped sunglasses with that sensible pencil skirt. Buy a donut, with extra sprinkles. Blast Beyonce on your way to work and move that booty in your seat. Steal a bouquet from the cherry blossoms among the trees in your parking lot. Kick ass at whatever Monday means for you and never give in to the absurdity that growing up means growing dull. Own Monday. xo!

thrifted + made

Last week I had a morning off where I went to my favorite thrift stores AND the nursery down the street and it was basically the best retail therapy of all. I was torn between using this sweet white mug for coffee or for planting, then I tried to sip coffee out of it and it was real awkward--so in went my favorite succulent. The mug was one dollar and the teensy glasses were 30 cents each so this miiiight be the cheapest kitchen centerpiece possible, while bringing the perfect touch of spring to our kitchen. And I might even be able to keep these lil guys alive long-term, fingers crossed
